Michelin Star Restaurants In Chiyoda Tokyo

Tokyo is known for having some of the best food in the world, and there are a lot of different Michelin star restaurants that are worth the visit.

But with there being so many, how are you to choose which one to go to?

That’s where we come in! In this article, we will tell you about four different great Michelin star restaurants in Chiyoda, Tokyo that are certainly worth paying a trip to!

You can rest assured knowing that you are certainly not going to regret going to experience any of the restaurants that we talk about in this article.

They are each unique in their own ways and serve both beautiful dishes and the true essence of Japanese cuisine. They are, without doubt, some of the best restaurants in Chiyoda.

So, let’s get into it.

Ryugin(龍吟)

The first restaurant we are going to talk about is the 3 Michelin star restaurant ‘Ryugin’, located in Chiyoda, Tokyo.

If you are interested in viewing the unique artistry that Japan has to offer, and some good food, then this is the place for you to go.

Chef Seiji Yamamoto proudly displays his collection of plates and other items around the floor of the restaurant – almost like a mini-museum.

Displayed are works by master craftsmen such as Sakaida Kakiemon and Raku Kichizaemon.

The displays of such crafts are an expression of Chef Yamamoto’s desire to enjoy the world-class value of Japan’s artistry and cuisine.

This restaurant is especially beautiful due to the small levels of detail made to the decor.

An example of this is the layering of cloths made of Nishijin-ori on the table – adding a truly wonderful touch to the environment and atmosphere.

Head chef of Ryugin was also in charge of the food served at the dinner party for G20 Osaka Summit in 2019, where he cooked and entertained the leaders of each country.

He is a truly celebrated chef who is known for his attention to detail when it comes both to the food he makes, and his appreciation for Japanese artistry.

Kioicho Fukudaya(紀尾井町 福田家)

The next restaurant on our list is ‘Kioicho Fukudaya’ which has two Michelin stars.

This restaurant is most notable for its long-established connection with famous gourman and artist, Rosanjin Kitaoji.

The restaurant first opened its doors as a Japanese-style inn back in 1939, then under the guidance of Rosanjin Kitaoji, became a popular and trusted restaurant over the years.

Kitaoji was a regular guest who has since been loved by many celebrities and politicians for his incredible hospitality.

From cooking to customer service, Kitaoji does it all.

The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated according to season with crafts made by Kitaoji.

The atmosphere of the space is enhanced by the crafts and decoration which add to the pleasure of the food.

Kitaoji teaches that the ‘beauty of space’ lies within the harmony of buildings and gardens, which is why the restaurant is such a wonderful place to be.

Both the food, hospitality and the decor of this restaurant is what has helped the place to earn two Michelin stars, and should be enjoyed by all who come across it.

Sant Pau

The third restaurant on our list is Sant Pau, with a one star Michelin rating.

The uniqueness of this establishment stems from the fact that the menu is based on the traditional cuisine from the Catalan region of Spain.

This makes the food uniquely creative and stands out from many of its competitors in the area.

The ingredients of every dish are centered on the fresh produce of the surrounding area.

Local seafood and mountain food is used to create a rich and mouth-watering flavor that can’t be replicated anywhere else.

Using local ingredients makes the dishes taste fresh and flavorsome in a way you’d never imagine.

This one star Michelin restaurant allows you to taste the joyous flavors of Catalonia while being inTokyo, creating a unique experience and twist on flavor and food.

Many of the dishes combine uncommon mixes of ingredients such as seasonal fruit with meat and fish, creating that essence of Spain.

In addition to the Catalonian menu, the restaurant itself is decorated with paintings of the Mediterranean sea, so that you feel you are amongst the main shores of Spain.

Said paintings are by Catalan artists, adding to the realism of the restaurant.

Ishibashi(いし橋)

The last restaurant we will bring you to today is ‘Ishibashi’, a Sukiyaki restaurant based in Chiyoda, Tokyo with a one star Michelin rating.

What is unique about this place is the secret recipe of Warishita – the Sukiyaki stock.

This recipe is known only by the successive landlandy of the building and is what makes the food stand out from any other restaurant and Warishita dish.

The stock creates a beautiful, harmonious and unique flavor that perfectly complements the other components of the dishes, such as Japanese black beef and eggs.

Current chef of the restaurant, chef Ishibashi, is quoted to have said ‘’I want you to feel Japanese culture and pure japanese style’’.

The store owner is the fifth-generation and the restaurant prides itself on providing the essence of Japan everywhere in the store.

It is almost guaranteed that you will fall in love with this Sukiyaki restaurant.

This is surely a place that you don’t want to miss out on. There is simply no where else in the world that has the same Warishita recipe – and better yet such a recipe that is so beautiful and rich in flavor.

If that sounds like a place you’d want to go to, you should certainly check it out. It is truly one of a kind!
